Thats a nice cauli'. Today i picked my last winter Walcheren Winter 3 Amado and its the biggest one i have ever had. It weighs in at just under 6lbs and is 11 inches across. All ive gotta do is stop the missus from using it in a Macaroni Cheese.

What A beauty! what variety is it and how did you overwinter?.
I overwintered Gypsy Cauliflowers in 3" pots in the coldframe, they are comeing on nicely, this drop of rain is helping but they are now where near as big as that one :o

That one was 4 1/4 lb and we have 5 more coming on, they are good old 'All year round' put into the cabbage cage last autumn. We have great results in the cabbage cage which is covered int eh debris netting it makes a micro climate in there and everything grows well  :)

Well done! it gives me some hope, as everywhere I read "cauliflowers can be tricky to grow" so I wasn't going to bother this year but a friend gave me 6 All Year round, so now I've got my hopes up   ::)  I have netted them but think I need to build / create something stronger like your cabbage cage
Happy Eating   ;D

Caulis are renowned for being one of the hardest crops to grow; but they say if you can grow caulis then you can grow anything. ;)
