Has anyone grown or tasted WHITE SWEET POTATOES?

A friend gave me a handful of stalks yesterday and said plant them hilled up because they don't like wet feet. I'm pondering planting them under glass since they like heat...but I don't have much room. Also, what is the difference between white and orange sweet potatoes as to taste?

i have always preferred the orange to the white i find the orange sweeter and the white a little bland :P

yep I agree with you thifasmom...The white is more like bland like a yam ! more potato like ish !!

Thank you both for the warning. I'll try growing one in a pot and the rest feed the compost.
