Woodworm again

What is it about the woodworm insecticides that are specific to the treatment of woodworm? They are optionally diluted with water (as opposed to a solvent) and use standard SPs (Permethrin or Cypermethrin).

There are other seemingly more advanced insecticides that have label clearance for beetles which would appear (on paper) to be far superior in performance or am I missing something?
