cold snap

just been on metcheck and they are saying the next couple of nights are going to drop to -1 and -2 respectively :o (wiltshire by the way) just popping down to fleece everything and thought i better warn you all :-\

Metcheck said -1 for here tonight... Guildford... had to take all the toms in already.

just got back have covered all the spuds with a double layer of fleece and realised i haven't got a clue which crops are the most vulnerable to cold weather so i also covered my young salad leaves but left the rest to fight its own corner :'(
which other crops should i cover for future reference?
i have planted

raspberrys
strawberrys
tayberry
gooseberry
blackberry
peas
broad beans
mixed salad rocket etc
parsley
fennel
j artichokes
carrots
radishes
spring onions
and obviously my spuds have been tucked in for the night ;D

am i being over the top or should i be concerned for some of the others ??? ???

When HO came in of night shift this morning he said we have had a light frost and feels as if its going to be the same tomorrow.  I've put the heating back on its so cold here. (Swindon,Wilts) ::) ::)

thanks for the heads up guys I've checked the MET and we are only expecting to get to 4 degrees but just in case I've just been out an fleeced the toms and curcubits in the greenhouse and the pots in the containers outside have been done as well.

Just reading the posts and wanted to scheck....Silly question but is greenouse not sufficient protection...you are saying to use fleece as well????

the tomatoes and the curcubits (squash, courgettes and pumpkins) can sometimes sulk or take offence to temps below 5 degrees, thats why i fleeced them last night, this morning they look all the better for it :).
