Turnips

I am sowing turnips this weekend and wondered if anyone has any advice.  I have read that they are easy to grow and you can eat the tops too - bonus.  I've never really eaten trunips so could be fun.  All advice welcome.

One of my favourites, although the OH does not like them :(

Keep them watered in dry weather so they grow nice and plump. Watch out for slugs of course. Great baked in silver foil in the oven with some butter and garlic ;D

The tops are good steamed too...
