I am a new member to this forum and would just like to say, Hi !

I have not got an allotment yet but have been reading all the posts while contemplating the idea. And yes I am still interested in having one of my own. So that also makes me mad (LOL)    ;D

I am sure you will hear from me lots and lots, so please be patient with me.

Hi Sonja
Do it - do it - do it!  Get one - get one - get one!  You will love it, apart from the back ache, headaches, blistered hands, sunburnt neck.....but on the up sidem  think, big fat juicy strawberrys, crispy cold lettuce, sweet sweet sweetcorn, fresh air, mad lottie mates....it goes on!

Welcome to Lotties4all Sonja. I can only echo what Emmajane says the benefits of having a lottie by far outstrip the aches and pains. To have fruit and vege that hasn't been sprayed with allsorts of chemicals and stood on shelves for weeks ,not to mention irradiated. The list goes on.
Earth fills her lap with treasures of her own.

But do please be careful, lotties are an addiction-I just took a half,I thought I could handle it,then one, then two and finally six-I am recovering now and only have a large garden-but still feel the urge.

Hi sonja I'm new at this, just joined today and I am a new lotti holder too. Only had my plot for few months and managed to grow few beans and 6 pumpkins!  It's fantastic - DO IT. There is an excellent website that I get lots of help from, has anyone else seen it? www.saundersallotment.co.uk.

It's really good, have a look.
