Braod bean attack

My broad beans which are about 9" high are being eaten by something round the edge of the leaves.  It is too even for slugs .  All the edges are serrated. neatly.

They'll be OK, the weevils don't do serious damage. From the title, I thought your BB's had turned the tables and attacked something else!

Thanks for replies.  You never know they might turn the tables one day.  Glad to know they will be O.K.  I am pleased with how well they are doing so far.

Just found I have this problem also, they are eating round the edges of the leaves I know you should not but they have had a spraying today, :)

Yep, thats the pea & bean "notcher" weevil. They like to hide in the curled top new leaves of broad beans.

well mr smith, i dont mind wot people think but i always spray my beans and anything else that gets attacted, i grow for me, not the wildlife etc.  :P
