Blowing, blowing blowing, Roy! but the scaffoldign cladding the building seems rock steady!!  Hope the corns will be o.k. - did stake them a bit during last big blow.  Hanging baskets at lottie will be getting battered tho - yet again.

No wind here as yet Roy.  Not even from the sprouts :-X
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Been quiet windy all day here in West Yorkshire.
Earth fills her lap with treasures of her own.

Mimi! tut! tut! ;D Well it's 9 O’clock Sunday morning and the sun is shining and everywhere is still and silent, typical British weather, spose I'd better get up then. 8)

Lucky old you, its sunny here but very very blustery down our end of town.  Just come back from short trip to lottie where the remainder of my showy orange dahlia bush has been flattened - looked strange with one stem and one flower in tact.  It was pretty well flattened a few weeks ago as well but there is new growth coming thru - probably too late.  Tppk a piccie of the one remaining flower - don't know when the Autumn Comp starts but I've been bitten by the bug!!

corns swaying madly so picked another 8.  I hate working in the wind so came home pretty hurriedly.

Lovely day here today in Essex.  Went to the Essex country steam fair and the sun shone all day!  Just had a sprinkling of rain this evening, but not enough to water the garden!  If it doesn't rain by tomorrow evening, I am going to have to water the garden!

Mimi

Woooohoooo I take it all back.. Just returned from a visit to Ma in laws and was blown all the way back to Wales.   :o
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

It was fairly windy here over the weekend, but last night? Wow!!! I thought I would come down and find trees strewn across the road! Luckily nothing too dramatic has happened near us, and I hope you all survived the wind as well!

Really windy here (Essex/London border). Dry and sunny for most of the weekend, so I gave the garden a good soaking last night. Then it chucked it down.  ::)
gone to pot :D

Mrs Ava

Once the rain stopped this morning I dragged my mum to the allotment to show her all the lovely things growing, and couldn't believe the wind damage!  One of my walking stick kales which is over 5 foot was down on it's side, runner beans were over and curly kale was flattened!  Most peoples runner supports were damaged.

Mind you, on the up side, I am chief picker for Jack whilst he is away, and I filled a great big tub with raspberries, so jam, pie, flan and au naturale it is!  :P
