Just goggled for free HD programmes on the internet and one or two results have come up for it to download and watch over the internet before I try it as anyone any advice please.

My advice is to be very careful. Alot of these type of sites have either spyware or worse still viruses in the programs.
I've recently had to totally reinstall XP after my son chose to ignore anti virus warnings whilst trying to watch our beloved Leicester City online.
If you have Firefox may I recommend Finjan as an add on. This lets you know that a site is dodgy before you click on it.
