I have been working on my allotment blog for a few weeks now and thought i should share it with the group, its quite basic at the moment but its very simple too lol

hi just checked out your website and your allotment looks like a nice place to be :). was reading up on your news section and wondering about the public liability clause in your insurance.

My understanding of the terms of our main policy is that being public liability it  only covers persons who enter our allotments without permission and get hurt ie vandals etc.

If that is the case which i am sure it is, then each member who invites a friend or family member up to there allotment is responsible for there safety and should any of them accidentally gets hurt then the member who invited them to there allotment has to bear the brunt if they decided to claim for any injury and not the association.

It may have to be that the association may have to ask members to sign some sort of disclaimer that protects the association from any form of injury claim against them thus putting the onus on the member to take full responcibilty for anyone they invite into there allotment.

WHAAAAAAT!!!!!! so the bloody vandal gets to claim for injury and the invited guest host has to sign a disclaimer. I swear the world has gone completely mad >:(. what has happened to the rule the good guy always win ??? ::).

the insurance covers all who enter upon the site, whether invited or not !! chill !!!

its ok  :D but if you see the pictures when we first got it, you would have never thought soil survived
