Wow shirlton they look great. :D

I brought 3 of these arches from wilko's about 3 years ago,was going to make them up has proper arches but they kept falling apart so i bagged them up and in the shed they have since stayed.
I will now drag them back out and have ago just like your picci.

Just something to add, when i was in Nottingham the other week i went to IKEA and brought some netting (curtains )from them, don't have them here has they are in the shed at the allotment but they was approx 10ftx8 and packed in a pair and cost approx £2.50 for the pair, these are very much like the enviromesh, very tight weave and very light in weight, and washable too.....will be getting more when i next visit..
These would make excellent covers for the arches. :)

I've been on the look out for some of these arches for a while. I can't see them on Wilkinson Plus website though.

I bought some of those arches from wilko a few years ago, the plan was to use them as fruit cages. They are still in their boxes in the garage because we had so much metal stolen off the plots I assumed I would just lose them as well. But thats another way they could be used if anyones interested in the idea....just a taller version of Shirlton's idea.

Wilkinsons haven't put their summer gardening stuff online yet. They do normally. Even seeds go on there
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I have the pics of the enviromesh frame. will have to put them up one at a time.

This is the end of the frame fastened to canes with ties

The completed frame has used two tops of the arches joined with 8ft canes. If you want them longer you will have to use 3 arch tops.

You will have to sew a channel down the long side of the mesh to slide a cane through. Again if you want the cage longer you will have to use 2 canes so make the channel wide enough to take the 2 canes
Hoe you can understand it all

Thought you'd lost the plot when I saw three posts together Shirl....  ;D
Good clear pics thanks...  :)

You can also use the bottom s of the arches but you will have to bend some of the straight tubes to make the smooth domed top so as not to rip the mesh

Little Bee the arches are from the wilkies sale. They are 4.99 now. the enviromesh I get from Suttons seeds. Its abot £12 but if you buy 2 it's cheaper.I get mine from them cos its just the right size for me

Now what do I do with the left over straight bits? :)

Doh - bend them like Tony has done in the picture at the beginning. ::)

By the way I think if you're buying actual Enviromesh this site works out a bit cheaper than Suttons.  http://www.gardening-naturally.com/acatalog/Enviromesh.html

Still fairly pricey stuff but mine has been over hoops outside for three years now and still is fine.
