Can't view my personal page

I keep a record of my portfolio on a financial websites. In the past I have had problems with it but they told me to always use Int.Explorer so I did this just for their site and my details opened up. No matter what I try now I cannot get in using my regular login details and will have to start again with someone else - dreading it!
I have asked on MSE and no one can help. The financial site seem to have written me off (lot of emails have been exchanged).  If I click on IE on the logo at the bottom of the page or in "programmes" I get something called EXPLORER.COM which I just can't get rid of. Point is, even if I could use IE properly there is no guarantee I will be able to see my list of shares etc.
I should be able to go to this site like any other.
Can anyone suggest what is going wrong here?

If you Google "explorer.com malware" you should find lots of advice on how to get rid of it.Whether this will enable you to see your portfolio or not I couldn't say! ??? :)
