SOZ ME AGAIN
CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS QUESTION

ARE CHICKEN MANURE PELLETS AS GOOD AS MUSHROOM COMPOST OR HAVE THEY BOTH GOT THERE OWN USES

Both have different uses. Mushroom compost is great for adding bulk and humus with some feeding... but most has already gone (spent) Chicken pellets are very powerful feed... both would be great!  ;D

Baaaaaaaa

One is manure - ie has loads of nutrients (the NPK stuff) in it that makes plants grow.

The other is compost - ie a type of growing medium that allows the roots to take up the  NPK stuff, but doesn't contain nutrients itself.

They are complimentary. The better either/both is/are the better the plants will be.

Chicken pellets are a good allround ORGANIC feed, as is Blood, Fish and Bone. Growmore does the same but is not organic.

Mushroom compost is also good stuff, as it's of a fine grade. BUT it can be acidic.

I used chicken manure pellets around my beans and spuds last year and it worked a treat, perked the beans up no end.
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!
