The display in London centred on the ferris wheel was spectacular.  I was not there in person though, just watched it on TV.  I thought it was better than the display London put on for the Millenium and that was superb.   ;D ;D

last nights tv coverage did look good and seemed to go on for ages, although these days I do think its turned into a competition between capital cities around the world.

Eight years ago I drove all the way down from Birmingham for the Millennium and was very disappointed. Still don't know what happened the the River Of Fire
