was just wondering if a new section on wild flowers would be useful enough - seeing as some, many even, can be eaten or used in cooking in some way or another, this could combine both edible and non edible groups

just a little thought  :D

Thats a great idea calendula , would it help to have lots of pics  for identifying,
not so hot on wild flowers but would like to learn more,  they were the medicine cabinet
for the masses many centuries ago, and sure they have a tale to tell,

  Hope this will be successful,

I was about to support this idea too (even 'though I think we have too many sections already) but then I noticed that the wildlife forum has the strap line 'wildlife and wild flowers'.  I hadn't spotted this before or is it new?

absolutely correct Georgie, never even realised mainly because nearly all threads there are about animals - suppose that's sorted then

calendula, couldn't we still do Wild flowers?  It is such a broad subject in itself  as is Wildlife !

Can't we just seperate them  Geogie ?   please.

It's not up to me, Floss.  Whilst we wait for Dan to decide perhaps those interested in wild flowers could start posting about them.  If we get lots of interest it's more grist to the mill.   :)

Come on you earthy people,  Wild Flowers need you , everywhere you walk history
is under your feet - Doctors and Physicians were born from these plants -  what did they use
bluebells for , or foxgloves, or primrose, or cowslip .........  it,s  all very amazing !  as nature is .

   Thank you Georgie,
