Yes I was tempted by the garden arch until I remembered I had to collect my son with Guitar and sax as well as the grocery shopping. Small boot.

wow, your rosemary is a bargain, is it big enough for cuttings, I've just taken some off my 6 yr old plant..it needed a haircut  ;D

mummybunny

ive got a galaxy so no problem with space However fighting the urge to fill it is another problem  ::)

Not big enough for its first hair cut just yet lol  ::)

5p sounds a bit expensive - you could have just picked a cutting from somebody's hedge (there are loads round here) and rootrf the cutting. This is about the right time of year for this.

davee52uk thats a good point didnt even think of that  :)

I have a limited garden area and I also have a lurcher dog (who can pee very high!!) So this year we built 3 foot high wooden raised beds for all my herbs and my veggies.

I find rosemary will come back from almost dead most of the time. So i'm sure you're 5p rosemary will be fine!!

I've always been lucky with most of my herbs.  My parsley dies down every winter but has always set enough seed to come back without any problems the following year.

I started a small herb patch at my mum's house some years ago. There was a very high brick built construction near the back gate (not sure what it was originally for but it quickly transformed into a herb bed) The first year we grew different sages in it along with rosemary, corriander and parsley.  The parsley did so well that what wasn't used seeded itself all over the garden (the height of the bed obviously gave it an advantage) it was quite amusing the next year when I found dad out in the garden desperately pulling up loads of clumps of parsley that was now growing between the paving slabs!

5p rosemary - brill bargain!  When it's grown a bit you can layer a branch easy-peasy and make another - that 5p is gonna appreciate - more than my bank balance is doin atm. Way to go, gal 8)
