Hi

I have made Delia's for about the last 15 years, it is beautifully moist and crumbly and lighter to eat then it looks, so different to any bought pudding.  I have one left over from last year so haven't needed to make one this year, I checked it the other day and it smelt wonderful, can't wait to eat it.

Sorry, christmas pudding is my most favourite bit of chrsitmas. :-[

On the day I usually just pop it in my slow cooker first thing and then don't have to think about it again until after the meal, no boiling dry....

And it is wonderful with clotted cream and brandy butter.... :P

Enjoy!

what a good idea using the slow cooker to sort the christmas pud ;D

Hi Debster,

It works well for me, I pop it on first thing and leave it, sometimes all day as quite often my lot say they would like to wait and have the pudding later and it waits quite happily - sometimes about 9pm at night before they eat it!  The kitchen doesn't steam up either, and it doesn't take up a hotplate and crowd the cooker, and it's quiet!  All helps keep me calmer to enjoy the day! ;D
