Hi can anyone tell me what this is and what I should do about it, or how to treat it, before I lose them all, many thanks Janet

Rhubarb Thrasher

it looks like rust to me. It's getting quite late in the season now, and there are lost of fungal and bacterial infections about - and the plants are just getting old. Nothing much you can do about it, just keep picking the beans (if there are any  :D)

Thank you RT I did not put them intill realy late, just thought I might be able to keep them going a bit longer.

Go high. Your problem starts low and progresses. Pick the ones above the problem. Take off infected leaves and pods below. You will get a crop.

I agree. Don't think it's mosaic virus or anything sinister because mine go like that every year (in fact the earliest planted already have  :))

Doesn't look serious.
Your Frenchies will be finishing soon anyway.

I succession-sowed mine this year, and while most are dried and stored already, I still have a lot to come, in case we get an Indian Summer.  Ha ha.
