hi all, hoping for advice, my plot has white rot on nearly all beds,im wondering if its possible to grow my onions in pots using new soil,so they wont be contaminated.also what size pots i will be planting stutgart.

Look under fungal diseases in onions

I think some people have tried covering their beds with plastic sheeting and putting new soil on top in a raised bed but not sure what the results were. Wouldn't a layer of gravel be needed for drainage?

Apparently even if one's onions appear fine it is best never to put onion skin or peelings in the compost.
