white ones for you - SORTED! I've got them allover in super-abundance. Great ground cover. 8)

I planted some of these for the first time ever this year against the wall of the house. Will they overwinter? Maybe with a fleece? Or should I take cuttings and if so when? Mine are purple and really pretty but not something I know much about.

Hyacinth

Mine are fully hardy and no probs at all, ever,  BUT I once bought what I thought was the same plant, different colour? and that disappeared the first winter, so, unless someone comes along a lot more knowlegeable than me (not hard, that :-[) I'd try googling for an image & go along with what's recommended?

I have a yellow and a nice dark purple one i could send you some cuttings of if you would like  :)
Mine are in the big front boarder, i never water it and they grow for England !!

Well I googled and apparently they are half-hardy hence my question. When is a good time to take cuttings? Mine are in full flower at the moment.

It depends which area you are in, down in the deep dark south they are hardy :)
Take cuttings anytime now look down low and you will find some fresh shoots hopefully  :)

grawrc, what I do is take quite long cuttings, and plant them round the edge of a 4" plantpot, in a 50/50 mix of multipurpose compost and vermiculite.  I get pretty good results using this method.

My only problem is, it's that time of year already. :( :( ???
