I know you seem to have resigned yourself ACE, but have you thought of taking Glucosomine (?) tablets. They don't help everyone but they do help a lot of folk. Its said they seem to work best on knees, though it can take up to 2 months to show any improvement. ;)

I was born with nothing and have most of it left.
