Found this in the garden, put it in a pot but it started to grow pretty fast so put it in the soil and it is still growing,
am I cultivating a weed or is it a plant???

Tulipa

Hi

It could be a Dahlia.  They grow very fast at this time of year and the lighter yellowy green centre is very much like a Dahlia.  Did it have a tuberous root on it when you dug it up?  Slugs love them which would explain the nibbled leaves too.

I may be totally wrong so hope someone else can help too..... :-[

Morning T, no it did not have a tuberous root, as far as I can remember,
I agree it has been nibbled, cannot see what by.

Just done a Google, looks just like it, will have to wait for the flower to appear,
thanks a lot, wonder where it came from?

Amazin

Dunno, but now you have it you'll never want for seeds!

Thanks Amazin, at least at the moment it is in a confined place,
still I do like growing seeds.
