Do I have time to sow seeds or do I have to buy spring cabbage as plants ?

I'm a lot further north than you and I never sow before the middle of August. If sown early they can start to heart up before the cold weather and then they tend not to recover next spring. You should still have a few weeks left before you need to sow.

It's a bit like me when my computer at work plays tricks on me ha ha

I don't even know where I would put spring cabbage!! Everything is full up just now! I am hoping to rely on my chard for some spring greens...
