Does any one know why my Dwarf beans look like they have been crossed with a Zebra!!!!
They have all these black stripes on them, the plants look healthy and they don't have any leasions on them??
Thanks Gill

what's their name? It's probably supposed to (maybe). Borlotti beans for example are a thing of beauty before you even eat them

gixer

they are thomson amd morgans Tender green and the picture on the packet shows clean green beans
thanks

Rhubarb Thrasher

you're quite right! Are you near Sellafield?

manicscousers

is it the leaves or beans?
we've grown tendergreen and they were just that, green  ???

sorry i'm late replying but i had to nip out

its the bean pods that are striped but the beans inside the pod look fine and so does the plant + leaves

i'm in leicester so no not near sella field

oh and my husband put lime around them a few weeks ago ( not sure if he should have) i'm wondering if that might have affected them

the bloke a couple of plots down said he had some like it last year and just ate them, he said they tasted fine, no side affects!!

I grow Tendergreen too and they're green.  Email T&M - you might get a voucher for your 'disappointment'.

My Kings seed tendergreen came up this year with stripes - still taste good though ;)
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.
