Runner Bean Problem!!!!!!!

I visited my dear old dad this weekend and he has a lovely lush green bushy  set of runner beans but with no flowers at all!! It's not flowers forming and falling off its actually no flower buds forming!!!

Its not just his, both his neighbours on either side of him have the same problem!!

Has anyone encountered this before and do you no what the cause is?

Mine are exactly the same no flowers appearing at all. Lots of lovely green leaves!!  Be interested to see if anyone has an answer to this.

Over fertilizing plants with too much nitrogen will make them bushy and luxurious with no flowers.
Could that be it?

mulch with comfrey, or give them a hit of tomato feed! ;)
