bird feeder

Had a bit of trouble with our feathered friends this year.  Even where I've put nets up they've dive bombed them and smashed their way in.

So, I was wondering.  Would it be worth putting a bird feeder up.  Would it divert the birds away from my plants or would it just attact more birds to my plot where they'd have the veg as a side salad?
