Can I blanch in a steamer?

Does anyone use their steamer for blanching?  If so, do you have to adjust the times at all.

I always do.

About 30% longer. But much easier - no waiting for the water to boil again.

Don't see why not. I've always gone for the quick boil, quick cool down method but I can't imagine it makes much difference.

All books give the boil or steam times.
