If it rains when you are at the plot, you could use one of the courgette leaves as an umbrella (if you haven't got a nice shed like I have)

Thanks Jemma,
Its my first year growing sweetcorn and courgettes and I am very happy how they have gone. My only problem at the moment is that I have a glut of courgettes, and hopefully a glut of sweetcorn in a week or so. I might have to get a book that was advertised in 'The Kitchen Garden' magazine titled 'What will I do with all those courgettes?"

Thanks again,
Thomas

Can only echo sentiments of others...

Like you, this was my first growing year, however...
Unlike you, not one of my courgettes grew :'( as the severe rains mushed them to pieces...

Next year will be different - I am treating this year as a 'learning curve'   ;) :D ;D
