are they the same variety? Otherwise could be that one's a slower maturing or just smaller variety.

Thanks there are both Shirley i will get my hubby to take some pics of them both
Will it still grow to a decent size if i keep feeding it.

ceres

Didn't you say in another post that they've been grown in different places in different conditions?  If so, it might never catch up.  I wouldn't use tomato food until the first fruits have set but, that apart, watering and making sure they have a warm light place is pretty much all you can do.

Yes my nieces has been over my house near the outside wall along with mine and my friends sons on the kitchen windowsill 4 doors away and his was re potted with garden soil that was full of clay and my nieces was re potted with compost i have re potted my friends in a bigger pot with compost and put it in my greenhouse

You don,t water the plant when dry,  you don,t let it dry out it should get a little drink every day to keep the soil moist
When you wake up on a morning say "good morning world" and be grateful

Oh, dear!!

1. The wee one looks sick. As said, neither should be fed at this stage. If just moved from food-less clay soil in a small pot, no wonder. Does it have any bugs on it?

2. Watering. Soil should "never be less than 65% of its full capacity". Standing in the rain may do little good.

3. Big one seems to have 5 shoots, whereas it should only have one.

4. Other than the lower frond, the leaves (see your other post) do not look grey.

Thanks Tim
Idont understand about it having 5 shoots and should only have 1 what should i have done to to stop it.The small 1 has no bugs on it will it still grow and does it need to be put in the greenhouse.

An indeterminate variety like Shirley should only have one main stem.

This will have leaf fronds & flowering trusses coming out of it at 6-12" intervals.

Any shoot emanating from the join between the main stem & the leaf frond is nomally cut out. It seems that yours weren't.

A sideshoot develops into another stem producing flower trusses.

Yours looks as though it has some 5 such stems? If so, I would take out all but 2 at their base.

And if outside, pinch out the growing tip of any shoot when you have 3 - at most 4 - flower trusses.

Does that make sense??

Thanks Tim
I understand i will do that when the wind dies down abit very windy in the north east today.I only have a portable green house and my hubby didnt attach it to the wall and when i woke this morning it was over the other side of my garden i has some radish seeds in trays and they are scattered all over my lawn.He has now attached it to the wall
