courgette flowers Help

i have been away on hols and my courgettes had some flowers on (they were in pots in g/house) some 1 was watering them 4 me, but on return from hols a lot of flowers had fallen off! i have planted them out will they produce more flowers and then courgettes as i can not see any female flowers yet! I  have planted  them with some manure to feed them. Can any one  help please.

You should get plenty of female flowers with the little courgette behind soon so it doesn't really matter that you've lost the male ones already. :)

The Italians use the flowers, stuff them and cook them as a delicacy.

I hear you can also coat them in a thin batter and deep fry them, though I've not tried that myself.

I have not got any female flowers yet but not worried as I only seem to get them when there has been a few of warm days in a row and they where to small to get any flowers the last time we had nice weather

The stuffed male flowers are good too. :-)
