got up this morning to find my motorbike missing.  >:( so i phoned the ploice, they came out and took a statement. she was i was encoraging people into my garden cause i had my bike in there.  >:( WHAT!!

People who nick should be shot and their hands cut off.

It's a sad fact of life, unfortunately.  Motorbikes are especially vulnerable because they're valuable and easily portable.  Did you have any security?  If you have to levae it in the garden, I recommend a ground anchor or a bucket'o'crete (actually a water butt filled with concrete), with a loop of rebar sticking out of the side.  Chain your bike to it with Almax or similar chain and a decent Squire lock, through the frame or at least the back wheel.

Right got some good news and some bad news.

good news the police found my bike. it was on a corn field about 2 miles away.
Bad news the damage. bent front forks, damage speedo/dials, mirrors gone, number plate gone, suspenion wrecked(i sit on it and i hit the wheel) foot pegs bent, gear pedel bent. and i bet the engine is thrashed.

insurance company are going to send an engineree to look at the damage to see how much it would cost to repair or they will pay for new one.
