what on earth do you do with it??? can i feed it to the bunnies if i grow it and hate it? and the guinea pig? h goes wild for greens! if i lived closer to the plot idve set them on it and not asked for rotivation!!! lol! best lawnmowers out :) fertilise as they go too :)

I make it in two ways, either with bechamel and cheese sauce (Boil the greens and white stem first though) or with onions and tomatoes. A friend of mine made a rice-ything with it with onions, rice, and stirred scrambled egg through it and she enjoyed it. You do have to season it, it is quite bland.
I always eat both bits but in France many people only eat the stem, which seems a waste to me.
I have sowed out some rhubarb chard but I haven't been able to get up the lottie for a couple of WEEKS due to all the rain, so dunno what they are up to...

It is very pretty, but I must admit the texture and taste did nothing for me either. Steamed it, stir fried it with spices, mixed it with other veg even but was very disappointed when I grew it.

Still, with such a huge variety available to us, we can grow what we like and it is great to try something 'different', especially things that they don't have in the shops because they do not keep long enough.

Uses? With sauce as said, or puréed with the sauce. Saag Aloo. Even without sauce - squeeze quite dry & slice. Riceburgers.

The weeds on my plot are REALLY enjoying the rain.  It's just a shame everything else does not grow as fast!  ;D
