What is digging up my vegatable beds?

Hi.. I have just made a raised veg patch and planted carrots, garlic and corn etc.
This morning the patch had deep holes all over it. Does anyone have any idea what animal might be doing this and what I might do to stop the little blighter?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd start with mice, they love a bit of digging, but so do squirrels, rats, foxes, cats, dogs.... hamsters... all with their own unique style. But I'm feeling lucky with mice on this occasion...

Many of the plot holders at my site have holes appearing in their beds too, the old timers are blaming the pigeons nesting in nearby trees. I havent had any problems sofar as I cover every new bed with fleece or netting  ;)

Thanks for the welcome... I think it must be something bigger as some of the holes were bigger than a football. Could that be squirrals?

I think netting may be the way forward but it seems a shame to cover the raised beds with netting as they look really nice. I might have to invest in pestcam to catch the culprit.
