Hi I remember reading about A4A members using coffee grounds to protect plants from slug attacks but cant remember how near to the plant the coffee can be placed without damaging the plant. Can I put it around the base or should I put it around the edges of the beds?
Thanks

i've used them in about an inch/ 2 inch band around 6 inches from plant stems with success.

we did a lettuce in a ring of coffee grounds, it was brilliant
trouble is, so was the hair circle, the organic slug pellets and the one with nothing around it, guess the slugs were on holiday  ;D
