Howdy folks

I keep seeing the term "over-winter" or variations thereof applied to plants but without any explanation of the term.

Would some kind soul be able to enlighten me please

At the risk of  being incomplete, I want an early HUG!!

The condition of naturally surviving the winter, or being made to.
For instance, autumn sown onions - which naturally survive - or lettuce, brassica or pot plants which can be made to, with protection. = Tim
