Small Poly tunnels and watering

I have the poundland poly tunnels, and noticed the soil is really dry underneath.

How do you water the soil underneath without taking up the whole tunnel?

I havent seen one SBG, do the sides not roll up?

If not then I think you will have to lift it to water :(

Is this the type that have the hoops threaded through a seam in the plastic?  If so, I found it is possible to ruche (sp) up the sides enough to water, but it is a pain.

Sometimes, it is just easier to lift up the whole thing, water and then replace it!

I got really basic ones from Wilkinsons & the hoops dont thread through the plastic at all so I have had to peg it down on all sides. Im going to have to unpeg one whole side each time I want to water  ::)

I am still using last year's Lidl (Aldi?) cheapo plastic tunnels, and I don't peg the sides down - I roll up a long bamboo in the spare plastic (to pull it taut) and put a brick on each end of the bamboo in case of wind.

It is a nuisance to remove the bricks, lift up the bamboo and pour water in, but I think unpegging and repegging must be worse.

Yep these are the ones I have... Took me ages to get them up without collapsing too, so I am reluctant to l keep pulling them out to water :)

You could use a sort of soaker hose, ideally connected to a water butt. You can leave it in place and simply turn the tap on the butt to water.

poundland do the soaker hoses which work like sprinklers you could run one under neath then connect is when you need to water under there i have them all round my garden in the watering season excellent irrigating system ;D

Use a long necked watering can and just undo the ends.
