How long do dissolvable stitches take to dissolve. I could do with getting rid of this lot in my mouth. They said up to 2 weeks at the hospital, I know it has only been a week, but I would really love to get a toothbrush in my mouth but I don't want to scrub the stitches about if it is too early. There feels like a dozen stitches and they are pulling like hell.

Sadly ACE they do take about two weeks, but the myth is they dont actually completely dissolve what happens is part of it dissolves through and catching one on something you are eating or a gentle pull will remove them, i know what its like i had some but a very gentle pull regularly and they came out when they were ready to

Sad to say they do take a little while-I have them from my heel up into my calf muscle(22 days now) but oh joy-I could take a full bath this morning.  ;D

It could be worse....as a midwife, think of where I suture all the time...... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
