I have some Egyptian Onions ( or traveling onions). How do you think they compare to other scallions?

I have some, but like the Babbington Leeks I'm still bulking up so I haven't actually eaten any!!

Same here. I may hopefully get a few to eat this year, but I lost a lot of the little bulbs I'd planted in the wet weather, so I'm not too hopeful.

I've moved my main bulbs, and put about 40 of the baby sets in modules to grow on.... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

That would have been a better idea. The baby bulbs did all right in the ground last winter, but not this.

About this time of year, with no spring onions & my store of red onions for salad eaten, I start using mine. (Robert, didn't you get your original stock from me a couple of years ago, btw?) I like them. They're not like spring onions - they're not like red onions...they're just like....errr...Egyptian Walking Onions? They do well in a 3 bean salad...

That's right, it was you who sent them. I should definitely have enough for a decent crop next year.
