Scare chain hoaxes

I don't know about the rest of you, but I receive emails from friends warning me about the dangers of getting out of my car, or turning on my lights, or flashing other cars.  A lot of these are hoaxes which you can check out on:

Ava pointed the site out to me when I mentioned the latest chain I received.  If you believed every scare chain, you wouldn't leave your front door to go to the allotment!

E J i have just read your post and looked at the website.
very strange because,when i went to my chiropodist some time last year, the police were there, it wasent untill my next visit i found out what was wrong. She had been acosted in a car park during her lunch hour by 2 men trying to sell her perfume and stuck a bottle under her nose which made her feel dizzy and they snatched her bag
an arrest was eventually made.  sSo how true are some of these stories ????. makes you wonder.  Rosebud.

It does Rosebud, and there are lots of bad, evil, twisted people out there.  I figure there is enough to worry about without receiving these emails which scare you even more.  I think really it is a case of common sense and looking after yourself - try not to put yourself at risk if you can help it.
