E Seeds - A rip off

I have just received my order from E Seeds and was amazed to find that the prices I was charged for some of the seeds have a much lower price on the backs of the packets.  Verbena Crown Jewels for example shows £2.49 but they charged me £3.81.  In total I have been overcharged on 5 packs, a total of £2.87.  The over-charging is not for P&P as I had to pay extra for that!!   >:(

No, but I have emailed them.

I think they charge a premium because they are a one stop shop sourcing a number of different suppliers so you can get everything you want from there without shopping around.  I have checked their online prices against the people they are supplied by a few times (e.g. Suffolk Herbs) and noticed the difference.  I suppose you save on only having one postage charge but I would only order US only seeds from them.

I bought seeds from them last year when the offer for free P & P was still on. it took over a month for them to arrive and when they did they were all out of date (including the parsnips) grr

I still haven't received a reply from eSeeds yet my email was sent over a month ago.  I have just sent a reminder. 

It does seem wrong that they can charge so much more than the prices on the packets.
