I really fancy doing some late potatos, don't know what I'm doing but like the idea of fresh new spuds late in the year!
I've had a scan of the net and am a bit horrified at the prices I'm finding for seed potato for planting in August.  Does anyone know of a cheap mail order supplier or will the big DIY stores carry them? I take it that it is a real no-no to use tubers from your own first earlies?

They seem reasonably priced for 'second cropping' spuds. £6.95 for 1.8 kilos.
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

I'm not sure that it is, if they're ready and you haven't had blight or any other disease, I'd give it a go.

I'm using some R.D.o.Y that I didn't plant in the spring and which have been chitting ever since, I planted them in pots a couple of weeks ago and they've come up fine. I don't know where I'm going to put them now though  ;D
