the wind here in swindon was horrible last night, i though my house was going to blow away lol.  Very luck cause oh pu the plastic greenhouse between two things last night so that stayed put, and my big greenhouse survived, same can't be said for my poor sons bird table, all the seeds are all over my garden, great more weeds to pull up

debster

my cloches although well pegged down had blown off but they are safe thankfully, pots blown over but worst of all the fence between us and next door is down and they have a dog that uses their garden as a toilet hope he doesnt wander in to mine, not sure if the council will replace fences any ideas?

caseylee

my n/bour has a coucil house and I own mine, and when the wind knocked the fence panels last year the council refused to repair it they only put  a chicken wire thing to seperate properties in swindon.

Our Camelia dustbin is over again... sure if people had slates loosened on Tuesday (earth tremor) they'll be off. Nextdoors Larch Lap has so many panels missing that you can hardly tell where it originally was..  ::)

I hope my little lottie greenhouse is ok, I lost half of the glass I had just put in in last years gales.....at least this year my home greenhouse is properly tied down now, last year it took a giant leap to the right, and the toughened glass (thank goodness) fell out of three sides bit didn't break!
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Few slates off down here, the fencing is over, but just repaired that before the hounds of hell decide to take themselves off on a jaunt after Smudge the neighbours cat (they really do loathe him for some reason).  Greenhouse mangled, couple of tubs over and recycling been recycled all over the place.  Not been up to the lottie yet, and I know I left the plastic chairs out yesterday!  Although hoping as they'd sunk into the mud from my large derrier being plonked on them, they may still be there  ;D
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!

I'm lucky, strong winds but only a stack of black buckets strewn round the garden and one pane of glass from greenhouse door blown out BUT landed on garden without even a crack in the glass. Better go and fix uit

Reminds me of that old saying

March comes in like a Lion and out like a Lamb. :)

I was woken up at 3.30 am by the winds and couldn't get back to sleep....eventually went back to bed at 7am after tea and toast, only got up 3/4 of an hour ago (well, it is Mothers Day..). Will be down the lottie later to inspect the damage... :-\
