it must've been very painful, to say nothing of being mucky  :o

Oh yes.. I phoned them to let them know. I had to quote the batch number etc and state where I bought it from. The chap was very helpful and said he would send me some vouchers for my trouble  ;D

I remember when a cigarette paper turned up in a tin of something - I forget what - when I was a kid. We had a salesman call with a vast box of complimentary tinned food that lasted us for ages. When I look at some compost, particularly the peat-free stuff, I really wonder what they do put in it.

Robert - What they put in compost.

If you go down to your recycling centre - they have huge and I mean massive drums (they don't have these at the recycling centre!) that make the compost out of what you and I take down there!   So it stands to reason that occasionally if someone going down the recycling centre is a bit casual and has a mixed bag of rubbish the odd glass and tin stuff can get in - although they will have been crushed and done whatevery they do to it in the meantime!

Our local council was giving away bags of the stuff that they had made from the recycling centre and it was very dark - nearly black and it was very fine - so it had obviously been shredded - and my bags still were warm and had brandling worms in - so it had not finished cooking!

I live near a factory where they pulp and recycle paper - and it fascinating - huge, massive great piles of waste paper - massive trucks delivering paper/cardboard from all over.  I go there for work taking confidential documents to be pulped and have to wait for it to go up chutes and into the pulping house - Fascinating!

I am easily pleased!
