Went in to do my food shop and there's a large seed display by the entrance.  29p for a small packet, 45p for a large one.  Anyone tried their seeds in previous years?  Any good?

Yes I have Ogg, I tried thier Lettuce sativa lasy year...it was beautiful. I still have some seed left and will sow them again this year, the carrots were ok though I have had better. Basil was good, so was the spinach........it bolted very early though.

I recommend the lettuce sativa.......thats all Ive tried from Lidl.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I had dwarf yellow and green climbing french beans last year which were really good.  I also had mixed peppers which didn't germinate at all, even in a heated propagator.  I will definitely go for the beans this year.

Unless I forget(what was that?), I pick up seeds from all over Europe when holidaying/travelling, and Lidl in Germany last December had its seeds at under the equivalent of 20p a packet for the big packets, with every packet 3 for 2.

I love Lidl.
What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

I grew the yellow king wax dwarf beans and they were excellent. I agree that the spinach bolted in a flash! I have bought various seed packets as they ahd them in clearance for 15p - little gem, boltardy, autumn king carrots and a few others. If the germination is low then what the heck - 15p!

 ;D ;DHey Delboy,
I agree with you, we must be the only people that go to Roscoff and shop in Lidles. Then we go to the supermarkets.
