Jeannine

Hi I have the following tomato seeds available for swaps.

I will pack 10 seeds to a packet

All my seeds are bought not homesaved.

I usually buy large sized seed packets to enable me to swap.

All have been bought either this year or last year.

In return I only want tomatoes, and again 10 to a pack please.

Please state if bought or homesaved.

Please look on net for details of varieties offered.

I will consider any seeds I don't have already.

That's a challenge Jeannine!!!  The only one I can see that I have is Buffalo Horn... but only got them this year so just have a few.  If I manage to save some seed perhaps we can swap next spring!

cambourne7

Wow have you moved to 2 suitcases now?

Lauren S

Jeannine I have some Blight resistant FANTASIO [sow January onwards]. I don't see them on your list  ;D.

Blight resistant - and delicious!
A superbly flavoured variety, bearing a prolific crop - each fruit up to 200g (½lb) in weight. Good Blight tolerance helps the leaves stay green and healthy! Medium fruited variety - an essential element of your summer salads!

I am impressed.  I have been called a seed nerd myself given the size of my collection but I suspect it is miniscule in comparison to yours...

Jeannine

Well I guess it is better than collecting empty gin bottles XX Jeannine

I agree.  If society were to collapse tomorrow, at least we would have a headstart on the others...

elsie

That is a fantastic list Jeannine!
Can I be nosey and ask how many varieties you grow each year, and how many of each?

Jeannine

It depends. I have one large greenhouse that I grow just toms in, can hold about 30 plants, just one of each if I am trying new ones. Then I grow some in pots at home with a few in the home greenhouse. On my second lottie I will grow them outside if it is a good year for one year, then concentrate more on the squash the next year. I usually sow about 4/6 of each, then cut down as I go on.

I am hoping to fit a good lot in this year as we lost everything last year in the floods. It is the tomatoes turn but as we lost all the squash last year to the floods I am hoping to do both.  So lots of pots this year, I will be concentrating more on suitable container ones, for the outside ones mostly determinate and some minis, only big ones in the one greenhouse unless I give up the melon one and use that too..not sure yet.

Good Luck fitting it all in  :D
