Hi People!

I had something akin to what you had over Christmas.  Still weakish - but on my own so have to keep going!

To get a good nights sleep though!  Old wives remedies - you can't beat a hot cup of water with fresh lemon juice and a spoonful of honey together with a paracetemol.   If you keep some of the liquid for overnight if you get a coughing fit this should help and prop yourself up on pillows so that you are half sitting- this will keep your lungs clearer of yuk and hopefully you will have a restful night!

Good luck to all that are feeling lousy!  At least it is not a busy time in the garden!

I joined the ranks 8th Dec :'(.....thought I'd recovered enough to rally for the Christmas Eve Karaoke...carols on The Green at 6.00pm followed by a similar session in the pub.....flu-thingy back on Christmas night, missed the New Year's Eve Thrash with my friends :( & I'm just back on my feet now, tho I've still gottan ackin corf. With both puters knocked out also over this time I've had some long, long nights. It's really not been fun.

But I'm getting better now, puters ditto, and went into the garden this morning & bulbs are showing through 8)

Hi Guys,

After a couple of good days i have only thrown up once in the last 3 days which is a good thing :)

Unfortunatly hubbies got worse and hes just taken himself out to A&E as hes in so much pain in his ear so where my virus has afected my chest and lots of coughing his has gone into his ear. Silly idiot will probably come back get into his suit and go to work!

Hope your all feeling better out there!

Yes thanks Louise, glad to hear you are on the mend-sorry to hear about Hubby.
It;s a funny old bug, you think you feel better then it comes back again, so take it easy gal, everything will wait. ;)

Something I have noticed is that the older you get the speed of recovery take one heck of time, be it from any type of flu

Woke up this morning at 6am and tried to get back to sleep decided to get up as i felt ok. I headed off to town and did some jobs that i had been putting off like go to the bank and pay bills etc. Also hit the sales what a disapointment!! I spent the grand total of 10.50 on a pair of  boots (£7.50) and a top(£3) :(

Home now and if i had not stupidly stripped the bed and duvet before i left i would be crawling back into bed :(
