have had several PM's over last few days regarding Tomato seed swaps, so have made time and done my Tomato list now.

In January there will be another list, mainly Runner and French Beans.

Tomatoes:

Grosse Lisse                 bought       2006
Marmande                     good to     12/2009
Marglobe                       bought       2007
Tumbler                         own           2006
Abraham Lincoln            HSL/own    2006
Alicante                         bought       2007
Roma Plum                    own            2006

Black Plum       100%       own            Nov 2007
Reisentraube     80%      own            Nov 2007
Principe Borghese  90%  own           Nov 2007
Jackie's Prize      80%      own           Nov 2007

Notes:
HSL indicates the Heritage Seed Library
own indicates saved by me from own grown plants
% indicates germination test this past November.

Tomato Jackie's Prize, is my own seed saved from a 'veggie box' the Boss Lady won at her keep fit class in 2005. The guy who made up the box had grown the Toms himself from seed saved over at least 2 generations of his family, no name so I named 'em Jackie's Prize. I suspect they might be Alicante or a close relative but they crop heavy, keep well on the plant and taste great.

I would like any tomatoes NOT on this list and NOT Beefsteak types and/or Climbing French Beans but NOT common varieties

Please send me a PM with your requests

Have a great Christmas

Jeannine,

Grosse Lisse put aside, will pop in post tomorrow (Saturday)

Yes .... I thought I would have a go at some 'new' Black Toms this season.

I have been offered some seed but cannot remember which varieties, so will go back through my emails and rummage the Catalogues and Web sites this weekend and let you know before I 'splash the cash'.

Thanks for the 'warning' about USA website, thought you would know their reputation.

Cleo,

I like Moneymaker but for last few seasons have settled for Alicante (and it's variants) for reliable crops (in Greenhouse) good keeper and good flavour. :)

Love trying varieties new to me, hence this year going for a Black theme  ;)

Jeannine,

great, thanks

Last season you sent me some Trifele, grew well but all keeled over except one plant which survived outdoors and cropped about 20 fruits. I save seed from this one plant and have enclosed some in the envelope posted to you this morning.
My thinking is .... if this one plant survived it may be a little stronger strain than the rest ?  worth a try

Cheers
