Today I'm not going shopping for little gifts for my clients...thanks to Eric Robson and his Radio4 Christmas Appeal this morning, I've made a donation to Garden Africa - http://www.gardenafrica.org.uk/about_garden_africa_charity.htm

A look over their site shows that only 3% of donations go to admin - and they've a Christmas card of a picture of sprouts  ;D

Thanks so much Lish. I stopped sending Christmas cards about 6 years ago and instead donate the  estimated money for them and the postage to a cause, I was uncertain which to send to this year but this one gets my dosh, about £57 this year after I add up all expenses for sending them all over the place.Maybe not a lot but  it makes me feel better and friends get an e mail or a phone call.

I do the same except for a few poeple living on their own.  My choice is the N.S.P.C.C.  Before I retired I saw first hand what they did.
