After living for nearly 30 years in the Netherlands we had the idea to return to the UK. We found it very difficult to look for houses from abroad and after many times up and down for a few weeks and many disapointments like "overpriced houses" and very "uncared for houses" we have found a beautiful house in Belgium, just 3 kilometers from the Dutch border. I am very glad to finish the seach but very sad to leave my vegetable garden I loved for more than 28 years.....

Lady Cosmos,

How lovely that you have found your new home, you will soon have a beautiful garden again.
You are so right about houses being overpriced in the UK. Its very difficult for our young folk here to get on the housing ladder :(

Ive been to Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria. I have to agree with you that homes in europe are much more cared for than here. Though some parts of england have got gorgeous villages and towns where the houses are pristine and very loved and well maintained.

Wishing you happiness in your new home  :D ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Thanks, yes I have to start again making a vegetable garden. Lucky the garden is big enough ; The sit on mower was included ;D ;D  There is a very big pond as well, that will give me headaches, no doubts........

Hi Lady

Congratulations with the new house!
Don't forget to send your new adress to the "Spanish pass the parcel-person" before you, or you will miss out. Of what I have heard, the parcel should give you a quick start with the garden-to-be.

Wishing you strength for the busy time ahead.

Thanks Lorna, I will post every day, I think, because it is a large garden with all unknown plants, I saw, Scary >:(, Trees, bushes and... a very large pool ???.
So I have to learn how to put pictures on the board to find out a lot of things.
The garden is very nice but I have to take out a few hundred square meters of plants for my vegetable garden ...... That is the first thing I want to do, can't live without.... The movers will be very upset when they see all my garden stuff ;D
