A word of warning!!

Do you have a barrow with an orange plastic wheel with Pneumatic tyre?
I have one of these, a very good barrow (cost £25). However, yesterday I was inflating the tyre with a compressor when it burst. No not the tyre, the plastic rim. Whether there was a crack in the rim or it was damaged I don't know but the rim split off the wheel centre all round one side and part way round the other. One piece of rim hit the back of my hand and I now have a blood blister about 2" long.

If you have one of these wheels, DO NOT inflate it over 1.5 Bar (22.5 lbs per sq in.)

You were very lucky Larkshall, that could have been really nasty. Were there any warnings not to use a compressor? I was just wondering if you may have any comebacks from the manufacturer.

I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I have one and my neighbour usualy attacks the tyre with his bike pump if its looks low as he uses it as well sometimes.

Hope your ok Larkshall  ;D
(by the way we have had more wood chips delivered if you want more :) )

I've had the barrow for a couple of years now, so no guarantee in force. I got a new spare wheel from the merchants, £18.99 (nearly as much as a new barrow).

Hi, Louise.
Thanks for the offer but I think I'm OK for chips. I've been busy lately, sawing up trees (bought a new electric chainsaw). I have a stack of cordwood now about 12ft x 4ft x 3ft plus a lot of logs in the bottom of the ladder rack (about 12ft x 3ft x 2.5 ft). My neighbour has been clearing the thorn trees from 2 acres of land, there's still a lot more to come yet. We should be OK for firewood for a few years.
